Parents ruin sports..

Alan I agree. Parents coach to get their kids and kids friends a leg up. Kids are choosen too basedRead More on parents and kids being friends. Take AAU and All-Stars and positions in each sport. Parents coach because they want their kid in prime positions, kids are friends with certain kids or because a family does not like someone but the kid has talent not playing. You need "out of area" coaches to come and determine if a kid is "that good" to be at the next level not "locals" whom coach because that is the only way the kid will get playing time.

sportsnut: Seems like a perfect opportunity for you to get involved in coaching... If nothingRead More else, becoming a coach will give you a voice in the league to lobby for equal playing time for all kids, and rotation of positions--particularly at the lower levels.

I am almost ashamed to say that I am a Cougar Alumni...Coach Hill was a great teacher/coach...IRead More think the Administration should be ashamed of themselves and I sure am glad that my daughter is no longer in the school system. I graduated in 1982 and a lot of the teachers that teach today seem to just be there for a paycheck and dont seem to really care about students unless of course they are PRIZE students with a 4.0 gpa....at least the older teachers and coaches actually cared for the most part. What a shame they would do that to a man that has been so faithful to the school for all these years!

Um that's not too surprising since most of Normandy's students are now attending other schools.Read More Good luck with the game against McCluer Berkeley as that's one of the school where Normandy kids transferred.

It only gets harder from here. Let's see if they can beat their record two years in a row.

If you're going to write an article about the students and their accomplishments it would be icingRead More on the cake to include their names... Just a crazy suggestion
