Affton Mother Charged With Assaulting Daughter Posts Bond

Hedija Jahic was released from jail March 31, and posted bond Monday.

A woman accused of assaulting her daughter posted bond Monday. She was previously was released from the St. Louis County Justice Center March 31. Hedija Jahic, 33, of the 4400 block of Mohegan Drive in Affton, posted 10 percent of a $20,000 bond Monday. She was charged March 30 with two counts of third-degree assault. St. Louis County Police said Jahic punched her daughter, and choked and struck her with an electrical cord at their home in Affton March 27. Jahic became angry with her daughter after reviewing text messages from the girl’s boyfriend, according to a court document. Mother Charged With Assaulting Daughter Over Text Messages

St. Louis County Police said Hedija Jahic punched her daughter several times, and hit and tried to choke her with an electrical cord.

AFFTON, MO -- A South County woman punched her daughter, and choked and struck her with an electrical cord at their home in Affton on March 27, according to a police statement. Hedija Jahic, 33, became angry with her daughter after reviewing text messages from the girl’s boyfriend, according to a court document. She then punched the girl several times, wrapped the electrical cord around her neck and tried to choke her and struck her several times with the cord, according to a St. Louis County Police report. The woman also called her names, police said. Jahic, of the 4400 block of Mohegan Drive, was charged Monday with two counts of third-degree assault. Man Charged With Assault In DWI Collision at I-55 and Bayless

The other driver suffered a concussion and a sore neck, police said.

A man faces was charged Thursday with assault a DWI collision on Bayless Road at Interstate 55. St. Lous County prosecutors charged Raymond Richardson, 39, of the 11100 block of MacKenzie Ridge in Hillsboro, with second-degree assault. St. Louis County Police said Richardson was drunk when he failed to yield while exiting I-55 onto Bayless Road May 15. Richardson’s vehicle struck another car, giving the other driver a concussion and a sore neck, police said. A blood sample showed that Richardson’s blood-alcohol content was 0.162, more than twice the legal limit, according to a court document. Richardson was on probation after pleading guilty in 2007 to possession of a controlled substance. His probation was revoked Nov. 8. He is being held…

Affton Man Indicted After Breaking Into Home To Retrieve Child

St. Charles Police said the Affton man and his child's mother intended to assault a person caring for their daughter; the Division of Family Services advised the family to keep the girl pending an investigation.

A South County couple, accused of breaking into a home last April in attempt to regain their daughter, was indicted by a St. Charles grand jury Nov. 30 of being accessories to burglary. St. Charles Police said the mother, Jennifer Temm, 34, had asked Andrew R. Wilson, 31, the daughter’s father, and Matthew Wakeman to help her get her daughter from a relative’s home. St. Charles Police said the family, who are relatives, had been advised by the Division of Family Services to keep the child pending an investigation. Temm and Wakeman are active heroin users, according to court documents. Temm is from the 2800 block of Owendale in Oakville; Wilson is from the 5500 block of Seth Avenue in Affton. Man Assaults Mother, Takes Car, Crashes into Seven Holy Founders Building

The woman told police her son returned without the car and told her he ran into a building.

A 35-year-old man assaulted his mother, took her car keys, stole her car and later drove it into the former Seven Holy Founders School building in Affton Tuesday, police said. William Hoffee, 35, of the 4900 block of Fyler Avenue in South St. Louis, was charged Wednesday with second-degree robbery, leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest. St. Louis County Police said Hoffee assaulted his mother at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 9900 block of Pointe South Drive in the Concord area of South St Louis County. He then took her car keys and debit card and left in her vehicle, police said. Affton Man Shatters Vodka Bottle Over Another Man's Head, Police Say

The victim spent three hours in surgery repairing damage to his jugular vein, according to a St. Louis County Police report.

A man shattered a vodka bottle over another man’s head in front of a home in the 5200 block of Waldo Avenue in Affton, police said. St. Louis County Police said John E. Michael Jr., 44, of the 5200 block of Waldo, hit and cut the man in attempt to kill or cause serious injury to the man on June 12. The man told police he lost consciousness for a short time. He had cuts on his face and neck, and spent three hours in surgery to repair damage to his jugular vein, according to a police report. The man also reported scarring. Michael was charged Sept. 19 with first-degree assault in St. Louis County Circuit Court. Michael was scheduled to appear in court for a bond reduction hearing Oct. 15. Friday, September 2 A black 1998 Toyota Camry, along with a purse and electronics within, was reported stolen in the 11800 block of Kramper Lane in Concord. The vehicle was recovered but the other items were not. Citizen’s National Bank at 9111 Mackenzie Road was robbed at gunpoint. Two men were later arrested and charged. A green 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier was reported stolen from part of St. Anthony Medical Center, 12700 Southfork Road in South County. A wallet, credit card, CDs knife and asp baton were reported stolen in the 11800 block of Tescord Drive in Concord. Saturday, May 7 In the 8900 block of Provo Lane in Affton, a father took his son’s belongings—primarily electronics—to settle a debt. After the police were called, he returned the items, and his son decided not to prosecute. Sunday, May 8 Shrewsbury police responded to a domestic assault call in the 7500 block of Triwoods Drive. Police located the suspect after she allegedly assaulted her mother inside a condominium unit. The suspect also was allegedly responsible for lighting three parked vehicles on fire. The woman had been drinking alcohol and refused to take her prescribed medication. Friday, April 22 Shrewsbury police arrested a woman from Florissant on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on eastbound Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Avenue. Shrewsbury police investigated a Jeep that was stolen from the 7600 block of Lansdowne Avenue and discovered an abandoned Mazda parked at 7600 Devonshire Avenue which was reported stolen from St. Louis City. The Jeep was eventually recovered abandoned in St. Louis City, and police recovered property inside the Jeep that had been stolen in a residential burglary. In the 11100 block of Gravois Road in Affton, a woman saw a man inside her apartment. He fled the scene with firearms and a laptop computer. At the Target on 4250 Rusty Road in Concord, a man …

Friday, April 15 Shrewsbury police arrested a woman from Fenton on charges of driving while intoxicated on in the 7600 block of Watson Road after she caused a traffic accident, property damage to landscaping and knocked down a light pole. A home in the 11700 block of Baptist Church Road in Concord was broken into in an apparent burglary. Nothing was taken. A black Chevrolet Cavalier that had been reported stolen in late December was recovered in the 5600 block of Lindbergh Boulevard.
