Police: Vehicles Reported Stolen on Morganford, Virgil

The incidents were reported in the St. Louis County Police Affton Precinct blotter.

St. Louis County Police Affton Precinct handled the following incidents between Feb. 1-10, according to the weekly police blotter: Saturday, Feb. 2 At 5:30 p.m., a green 1994 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen from the 8700 block of Virgil Avenue.  Sunday, Feb. 3 At 1:15 p.m., more than $500 in vehicle parts, books and electronics were reported stolen in the 5300 block of Lindbergh Boulevard. Tuesday, Feb. 5 At 9:15 a.m., linens and jewelry were reported stolen in the 4100 block of Whippoorwill Drive. At 7:45 p.m., a maroon 2009 Dodge Charger was reported stolen in the 8500 block of Morganford Road. Drug Arrest Made on Rhodes Avenue in Mackenzie

Shrewsbury Police responded to the following incidents this month, according to the weekly police blotter: Friday, Jan. 18 At 6 p.m., following a vehicle accident near the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and Interstate 44, a brown car continued south without exchanging insurance information. Two people were in the car during the accident.  Sunday, Jan. 20 At 5:50 a.m., a disturbance was reported in the 7300 block of Murdoch Avenue. A man threatened to overdose on prescription pills and left the house. Police were able to find him and take him to a hospital.  Monday, Jan. 21 Sometime overnight, a vehicle drove through a fence and bushes on the north side of a residential property in the 4700 block of Verguene Avenue. DWI Arrest Made on Murdoch Avenue

Shrewsbury Police responded to the following incidents this month, according to the weekly police blotter: Thursday, Jan. 10 At 5 p.m., a pistol was reported stolen from a man's vehicle outside a warehouse in the 7200 block of Weil Avenue in Shrewsbury, where the man works. He left his Glock semi-automatic 10mm pistol in his vehicle, and he is unsure when it was stolen, police report. He last remembered seeing the firearm on Jan. 2. Sunday, Jan. 13 At 1 a.m., a Shrewsbury man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, as well as driving without his headlights activated and speeding 46 in a 30 miles per hour zone. Police: Foot Chase on Lansdowne Ends in Arrest

The Shrewsbury Police Department provided the following information in its police blotter. Friday, Oct. 19 At 3:40 p.m., a brief foot chase ended with the arrest of a Webster Groves man in the 7200 block of Lansdowne Avenue. The man was arrested for resisting arrest and on suspicion of traffic-related citations. He was recognized as being wanted for questioning in relation to a previous resisting arrest incident in the 7600 block of Weil Avenue in July 2012, police say.    Saturday, Oct. 20 A University City woman's purse—filled with cash, credit cards and a wallet—was reported lost or stolen between 11:15 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. She noticed it was missing while at Value Village Thrift Department Store in Shrewsbury. Home Burglary Reported on Sutherland Avenue in Shrewsbury

The Shrewsbury Police Department provided the following information in its police blotter. Saturday, Oct. 13 A vehicle parked overnight in the 7700 block of Ravensridge Road sustained damage from another vehicle. The unknown vehicle's driver fled the scene and didn't report the damage.  At 5:52 p.m., a Harley-Davidson motorcycle sustained damage after it was knocked over by a car. The motorcycle was parked in the 7200 block of Watson Road when it happened. The car's driver fled the scene without exchanging insurance information.  Monday, Oct. 15 A home burglary was reported in the 7500 block of Sutherland Avenue. A basement door's window was broken. Police Make Two DWI Arrests in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury police arrested or issued citations to two drivers last week after possible alcohol-related incidents.

Shrewsbury Police Department officers handled two alcohol-related traffic incidents last week. Police arrested an Affton woman on July 17 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident at S. Laclede Station Road near Big Bend Boulevard at 9:40 a.m.  Police found the woman in the 7800 block of Grove Avenue, about 10 miles northeast in St. Louis. She refused to provide a breath sample, and police found an empty bottle of vodka in her purse. Police handled a second incident later that night. An Affton man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, improper lane use, violating a red traffic signal and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle in the 7700 block of Watson Road.
