Josiah Williams was driving while intoxicated on I-270 at Dorsett Road, according to a court document.
A South County man faces his third impaired driving charge since 2003 following a traffic stop Interstate 270 at Dorsett Road in Maryland Heights. Josiah W. Williams, 32, of the 9500 block of Fredericksburg Court in Crestwood, was charged March 21 with driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender. A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper pulled Williams over at 11:04 p.m. June 21 on Interstate 270 after he changed lanes back and forth abruptly without signaling, according to a court document. The trooper reported that he smelled a strong alcohol odor and saw that Williams had glass and bloodshot eyes. Williams did poorly on a sobriety test and a Breathalyzer test indicated his blood-alcohol content was 0.133 percent. Williams …

A man faces criminal charges for driving while under the influence of several illegal narcotics near Grant’s Farm, according to court documents. Jeremy Cole Klable, 29, of Dittmer MO, was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender, a felony. A St. Louis County police officer pulled Klable over as he was driving on Gravois Road at Missionary Ridge at 6:41 p.m. Jan. 23, 2012. St. Louis County Police said a blood test showed he was driving under the influence of methamphetamine, amphetamine and opiates. Klable has two previous impaired driving convictions. He was found guilty of DWI in 2005 for impaired driving in Hillsboro on Nov. 30, 2002, and he was found guilty of driving with excessive blood-alcohol content in…

A driver who struck another car from behind at Gravois and Heege roads had a blood-alcohol level more than three three times the legal limit, according to a court document.
A woman faces a felony drunk driving charge after striking another car at the intersection of Gravois and Heege roads. Melanie Hanks, 35, of the 4000 block of Eichelberger Street in St. Louis, was charged Feb. 21 with driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender. It is her third DWI charge. Hanks also was found guilty of DWI twice in 2006. St. Louis County Police said Hanks was seen swerving between lanes before striking the rear of another vehicle at 6:50 p.m. June 30. Officers responding to the accident said she had a strong odor of alcohol, and watery and glassy eyes. A man who drove 30 mph on Interstate 44 while swerving across his driving lane now faces a drunk driving charge, Shrewsbury Police said. Dennis Jackson, 62, of Fruitland, NM, was charged Feb. 11 with driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender, a felony. Jackson has two previous DWI convictions, one in Texas in 2003 and another in Kansas in 1977. Shrewsbury Police reported that Jackson was driving 30 mph on I-44 at Shrewsbury Avenue while failing to maintain a single lane at 2:16 a.m. May 26. A man faces was charged Thursday with assault a DWI collision on Bayless Road at Interstate 55. St. Lous County prosecutors charged Raymond Richardson, 39, of the 11100 block of MacKenzie Ridge in Hillsboro, with second-degree assault. St. Louis County Police said Richardson was drunk when he failed to yield while exiting I-55 onto Bayless Road May 15. Richardson’s vehicle struck another car, giving the other driver a concussion and a sore neck, police said. Police will conduct operation A.R.R.E.S.T. this weekend in St. Louis County to crack down on impaired driving.
Missouri State Highway Patrol officers made the announcement of the crackdown in a news release. According to the release, “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team) will take place in St. Louis County Saturday. The operation will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 3 a.m., Sunday. "The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the potential hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition," the MSHP stated in the release. Six Missouri state troopers will be conducting the operation across the county this weekend. Shrewsbury police arrested or issued citations to two drivers last week after possible alcohol-related incidents.
Shrewsbury Police Department officers handled two alcohol-related traffic incidents last week. Police arrested an Affton woman on July 17 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident at S. Laclede Station Road near Big Bend Boulevard at 9:40 a.m. Police found the woman in the 7800 block of Grove Avenue, about 10 miles northeast in St. Louis. She refused to provide a breath sample, and police found an empty bottle of vodka in her purse. Police handled a second incident later that night. Sunday, December 11 A one-year-old boy was bitten by a dog while visiting a home in the 7200 block of Murdoch Avenue. The child was running around the house when he fell on top of the dog on the kitchen floor. The dog bit the child on the face and the wound required 12 staples to close. The dog’s immunization records were up to date. Wednesday, December 14 Shrewsbury police arrested a Webster Groves man on charges of driving while intoxicated after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree in the 7700 block of Kenrick Manor Drive at 1 a.m. The suspect’s breath sample was measured at .241%, and he was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.
