If you happened to be out and about today and saw a parade of military trucks, motorcycles and cars, it was a Freedom Run held to pay tribute to veterans, current military and their families. The parade-like run began in Fenton and circled St. Louis on area highways until it returned to High Ridge. It went through Affton on Interstate 55. The event was sponsored by Faces of Freedom Fighters, a charitable foundation dedicated to building the state's first national monument to honor Missouri's fallen heroes. The group plans on making the run an annual event.
