34-Year-Old St. Louis Area FBI Agent Dies Unexpectedly

The FBI says Special Agent Jarrod M. Petrelli led “Operation Scorpion King” in dismantling a St. Louis area heroin trafficking ring.

According to the St. Louis division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Special Agent Jarrod M. Petrelli passed away unexpectedly while working on Dec. 6. He died just three days before his 35th birthday of natural causes, according to the FBI. Petrelli was reportedly assigned to the St. Louis area after joining the FBI in 2008. He had lived here with his family since 2009 and leaves behind a wife and three young daughters. The FBI stated in a news release that the special agent led “Operation Scorpion King” in dismantling a St. Louis area heroin trafficking ring.  Following is the news release issued by the FBI Monday afternoon. The list of St. Louis County Police Department's Most Wanted fugitives.

The St. Louis County Police Department regularly maintains a list of most wanted fugitives. The list is updated as fugitives are apprehended and currently includes suspects wanted for child kidnapping, domestic assault, armed criminal action, rape, robbery and abuse of a child. Among them is Ronnie E. Clay Jr., pictured here. He is wanted on charges of robbery, assault, stealing and resisting-interfereing with a felony arrest. His last known address. Affton Police Captain Chosen for Prestigious FBI Program

Capt. Mike Dierkes will spend 10 weeks training in Quantico, VA.

St. Louis County Police Captain Mike Dierkes, who leads the Affton Precint, has been selected at attend the 10-week FBI National Academy training program in Quantico, VA. Not to be confused with the FBI Academy that potential FBI agents must go through, the program consists of high-level training and collaboration for top law enforcement offers around the world. The prestigious program takes only 250 students each session. With four sessions a year, the St. Louis County police can only send an average of one officer each year. Update: Bank Robbery at Kenrick Plaza

Shrewsbury Police, along with the FBI, are seeking a man who held up the First Bank on Watson Road with a handgun.

A lone man with a handgun robbed the First Bank at 7435 Watson Rd. in Kenrick Plaza Friday morning at 10:06 a.m. According to Lt. Jeff Beaton at the Shrewsbury Police Department, the suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money from a teller and then quickly left, fleeing on foot to the southeast with an undisclosed amount of cash. Shrewsbury Police described the robber as a black man in his 30s between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was reportedly wearing a bulky, black-hooded winter coat, blue jeans and black shoes. Shrewsbury Police are working with the FBI to track down the suspect. According to Lt.
