Lindbergh High School Teacher Seeks War Veterans for History Program

Veterans will be invited to the school this spring to share their stories with students for the fourth annual History Alive program.

Lindbergh High School history teacher Brad Durnell invites war veterans in the community to share their stories with students this spring in the fourth annual History Alive Program, according to a release from the school district. "As a history teacher, I enlist the veterans to help me breathe life back into our study of the past," Durnell said. “The goal of this program is to instigate conversations between veterans and students and begin to truly breathe life back into the history that we study,” Durnell said in the release. “This is a rewarding experience not only for the students, who get to talk face to face with a person who lived through the history we study, but also for the veterans, who have the opportunity to work with the next …
