Affton Man Out on Bond Charged With Another Theft Related Crime

St. Louis County prosecutors are seeking to revoke his bond on a stealing and fraudulent use of a credit card after police said they found Gary Scaglione with a stolen laptop computer.

An Affton man faces a stealing charge after St. Louis County Police found he had property that was stolen in a burglary on the same day. Gary M. Scaglione, 30, of the 9900 block of Bunker Hill Drive, was charged Feb. 2 with receiving stolen property, a class C felony. St. Louis County Police pulled over a car at Interstate 55 and Bayless Avenue on Feb. 1 and found he had a Toshiba laptop that had been stolen a few hours earlier. Scaglione is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $50,000, cash only. Scaglione had been out of jail on a $5,000 bond for charges of stealing and fraudulent use of a credit card. Prosecutors made a motion Feb. 4 to revoke his bond on those charges after he was charged with receiving stolen property…

Neighbor Charged with Burglarizing Affton Apartment

Two laptops were stolen in two separate burglaries, police said.

An Affton man was charged Thursday for stealing two laptops in two burglaries from his neighbor’s apartment. Edin Crnovic, 28, of the 8900 block of New Hampshire, was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of stealing. Crnovic lives the same building where the burglaries occurred. St. Louis County Police said in a report that Crnovic entered the apartment between 6 and 11 a.m. June 15 and took a laptop computer. Between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. June 18, he went into the same apartment and stole another laptop, police said. Bond was set at $15,000.
