Update: Missing Woman Has Been Located, Arrested
The woman's belongings were found near the Stratford Inn, where her 9-year-old son was located.
3:02 p.m. Update: Denise R. Cooke was arrested by the St. Louis County Police Department Monday upon her return to the Stratford Inn, suspected of child endangerment. Cooke indicated to police she had gone out for a few drinks and did not have intentions of leaving her child alone for as long of a time period as she did. The time period has not been disclosed by investigators. The St. Louis County Police Department had made contact with the grandfather of Cooke’s 9-year old boy, but was unable to give over custody to him at the time. The boy will be taken into protective custody until further notice, police said. 1:15 p.m. Update: St. Louis County police announced that Denise Cooke has been located.
