Man Charged $17,170 to Fake Credit Cards at River City Casino, Police Say

Norimasa Saito recently pleaded guilty to similar charges at Ameristar Casino.

A Japanese national is accused of getting $17,170 in cash advances on fake credit cards at River City Casino. Norimasa Saito, 43, of Osaka, Japan, was charged Monday with five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card from April 2 to April 4, 2012. Saito told police he had been approached by an unknown Chinese man who told him he would need an American credit card to get cash in the United States, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. The man took Saito to an unknown location where he printed out five credit cards with Saito’s name on them in exchange for $500, Saito told investigators. Police said Saito identified the man on surveillance video at the River City Casino. Previously, Saito pleaded guilty to similar charges …

River City Casino has released a simulated, 3-D walkthrough of its new event center, which is part of the company's $82 million expansion plan. Click on the YouTube video that accompanies this article for a look. The event center will feature a 10,500 square-foot ballroom with table seating for 870 guests and concert seating for 1,400. River City Casino Building New Hotel, Event Center

Here's the latest on the new $82 million expansion at River City Casino.

River City Casino's new parking garage is up and running, but the casino has more big changes coming this year. The $82 million expansion focuses on building a new parking garage (which was completed in November), event center (scheduled to be completed in May 2013) and hotel (scheduled to be completed in September 2013). “The addition of a beautiful 200-room hotel, a multi-purpose event center that can entertain up to 1,400 guests and a 1,600-space covered parking structure will provide our guests with an experience unmatched in St. Louis,” said Neil Walkoff, Senior Vice President over River City Casino and its sister property Lumière Place. “Couple that with our world class dining, superior gaming, and team members who are focused on …

Woman Robbed at Gunpoint in River City Casino Parking Garage

The suspect took the 63-year-old woman's purse and then fled in her car. Police later spotted the vehicle, chased it into North County and arrested four juveniles.

A 63-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint Friday night at a parking garage at River City Casino at 777 River City Casino Dr. The woman told St. Louis County police that the suspect displayed a gun and took her purse and 2012 Hyundai Sonata. She and her 61-year-old friend were not injured.  Information on the vehicle was broadcast to surrounding police departments. Police later spotted the vehicle, chased it into unincorporated North County and arrested four juveniles, who were taken to the St. Louis County Juvenile Justice Center. The stolen items were recovered, but gun was not found at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate.

Pop Up Lunch to Benefit No Kid Hungry Campaign

Wednesday is Food Day 2012. Eat out at Operation Food Search and help feed hungry children in the area.

In honor of Food Day 2012, Operation Food Search is hosting a pop up lunch between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at its distribution center at 6282 Olive in University City, prepared by Chef John Johnson from River City Casino and Lumière Place Casino and Hotels.  Brown bag to-go lunches are available while supplies last for a $10 donation to No Kid Hungry, an awareness and advocacy campaign to end childhood hunger.
