  • Of the listing Rockwood Early Childhood Center at Vandover

    *****

Vandover is an example of why the Rockwood School district has such a fabulous reputation. Both my children have attended pre-school there and both have gained so much knowledge. The teachers sincerely care about the children and are kind and helpful. The curriculum is structured to dovetail right in to the kindergarten curriculum, so the students acclimate smoothly in to kindergarten.

  • Of the listing Poor Richard's Restaurant & Sports Club

    ***

The first time I visited Poor Richard's, the food was good and the beer was cold. However, I didn't enjoy the food enough to compensate for the overwhelming smokiness. Now that St. Louis County passed the smoking ban, I decided to go back. The infamous smoky dining room was replaced by a pungent dirty fryer oil aroma. It was so strong, I never got accustom to it during my meal. Although the food is decent, I won't be visiting again unless St. Louis County bans dirty fryer oil aroma.

This is my new go to place for fresh meat. Just smoked an 8lb pork butt and it turned out great. Price was at or below any grocery store. I have also had their pork steak dinner plate. At 6.99 with two sides and a roll, it was a steal. The pork was flavorful, tender and moist. I can't wait to pick up more meat in the future!

Delicious and fresh! It is sometimes difficult to think outside the BreadCo box, but this is a great alternative. It is nice to support a local business and especially when they do a great job. Nice selection of sandwiches and baked goods.

I usually never shop in small retailers like this, but what a pleasant surprise. They have a huge selection of games in stock and prices are great. The staff is friendly and helpful!
