Cathy Forand, Neighbor

I am a proud Affton Cougar.  After moving from Holly Hills when I was 2, my family settled into a new home near Affton High School.  I attended Affton Schools from Kindergarten on.  I can still remember a few PomPon routines....

After graduation, I went to Fontbonne College and then worked as a Manager at South Town Famous Barr and Downtown Famous Barr.  I married my husband, Joseph, in 1981 and a year and a half later, we welcomed our only child, Katy.

My two loves are family and community, and both keep me busy.  Over the years, I've been a room mother at Oak Hill School and Nerinx Hall, a member of the St. Anthony's Auxilliary, and a volunteer at our parish, Our Lady of Providence.  Most recently, I'm active with the St. Anthony's Medical Center Charitable Foundation and Old Newsboy's Day (you can find me at the main entrance of Forest Haven with my side kick, Katy).  My second love is Grantwood Village.  I am currently serving my 22nd year on the Grantwood Village Board of Trustees; 20 as Treasurer and now as Chairwoman.
