Clubhouse Bar Grill, Former Ten Mile House, Set to Open June 1

The new owners want everyone from kids on up to feel at home.

On June 1, what had been the Ten Mile House since 1872, will open as the Clubhouse Bar and Grill.

Dan Roberts, one of the new owners, said they did their research and discovered that people really didn’t want to come into the Ten Mile House.

All the other owners are members of the Bryan family: Tim and Patty and their three boys, Kevin, Doug and Wayne.

Roberts said the restaurant has been renovated from floor to ceiling.

“It’s going to be lit up,” Roberts said. “When you drive by, you’re going to want to stop. When you come in here, we’re going to make you feel at home.”

He said the whole family will feel welcome.

“We’ll have any game on you want to watch,” he said. “For the women, we’ll have four or five different salads. We’ll have healthy alternatives like turkey burger and vegie pizza. We’re hiring guys fresh out of culinary school.”

Roberts said it was mainly just the people that attracted them to the area. He said the Gravois location has lots of potential.

“I went to Affton High School. All of us lived here at one point, and we know it’s a good middle-class area,” he said. “We hope it takes off in the next 10 or 15 years and maybe we'll open up a few of them.”

He said none of the new owners has ever owned a restaurant, but Tim Bryan managed Dooley’s, downtown, for ten years.

The Clubhouse Bar and Grill will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week.
