Councilman Stenger Acts to Help Syberg's in Affton

Stenger asked a county manager to look into the Syberg's request.

On Tuesday Affton-Shrewsbury Patch reported about a letter from the Affton Community Involvement Association (ACIA) to St. Louis County District 6 Councilman Steve Stenger regarding a slowness by the county in looking into plans for expansion for Syberg’s, in Affton.

In part, the letter to Stenger read, “(an owner) and members of the “Syberg’s eating and drinking company” at 7802 Gravois Road spoke with me to express a great deal of frustration over what appears to be continued road blocking from Saint Louis County Government to plans they have to both expand and enhance their long-established business in Affton.”

The letter mentioned no suspected reasons for the apparent slowness.

“Thank you very much for your letter and for your concern about Syberg’s Restaurant,” Stenger responded to the ACIA. “By copy of this email, I am asking Dan Dreisewerd, Division Manager of Code Enforcement in the St. Louis County Public Works Department, to see the attached letter and look into the matter, and to help with the situation however he can."
