Shrewsbury Man Cited for Parking Semi on Watson Road Business Lot

Shrewsbury police also found vandalism at the Kenrick Cine'.

Friday, July 19

  • At 8:25 a.m., police issued a trespassing citation to a Shrewsbury man for parking his semi-truck tractor-trailer at a retail business parking lot overnight in the 7700 block of Watson Rd. The owner of the tractor-trailer had been issued a warning by police in June for the same violation. The owner of the property had also informed the owner of the semi-truck that he could not park on the retail parking lot 
  • Police arrested a man from south St. Louis City at 10:10 p.m. for speeding 75 in a 60 MPH zone on eastbound Interstate 44 & Shrewsbury Avenue and driving while intoxicated. The suspect refused to provide a breath sample and he was issued citations to appear in municipal court.

  • A man from south St. Louis City was arrested for failing to drive in a single lane, driving while intoxicated, no driver’s license and no proof of insurance at 2 a.m., at Interstate 44 and Shrewsbury Avenue. The suspect’s breath sample was measured at .091 percent and he was issued citations to appear in municipal court.
  • Police were called to investigate the theft of a Sony laptop computer valued at $957 and a Garmin GPS valued at $150 from inside a 2004 Dodge Sebring in the 7700 block of Suffolk Avenue. The suspected thief damaged a rear passenger side window to enter the car. 

Sunday, July 21 

  • After responding to an alarm call at the vacant Kenrick Cine’, 7505 Watson Road, police discovered someone had removed plywood from a window. Police could not locate the suspect that tried to gain entry.
