Affton Resident: Great Schools, Nothing Else

What can Affton do to attract more young families?

A recent article in Patch, Another Affton Business Goes to Weeds, Now What?, prompted a resident, Sabrina, to declare that Affton needs more places for young families to go for fun.

"I think Affton is perfectly situated between the city and county, but our leaders are not taking advantage of that. I think we could put in a brand new, contemporary bowling alley in the old 7-11 place on Gravois. Make it big, bright, white, with dart leagues, pool leagues, a ton of games, great music, a great bar and grill.

"That will be one thing that entertains young professionals and draws people from surrounding area. Affton has one of the oldest age groups per capita in the United States. That population does not spend money. Affton has got to start getting a younger population in or the town will continue to decline."

Do you have kids in Affton Schools? Do you agree?
